Three-year-old Afsana, a bright and cheerful little girl, lives with her parents and siblings in a small tin-shed home in a crowded slum, where her family dreams of seeing her grow into a kind and successful doctor one day. For two months she struggled with cough and cold, but her condition worsened, and doctors recently diagnosed her with pneumonia, causing fever and severe breathing difficulty. Her parents rushed her to a government hospital, but when she was referred to a tertiary facility for urgent treatment, their extreme poverty made it impossible for them to continue her care. Without proper medical attention, Afsana faces dangerous complications, including respiratory failure that could threaten her young life. Desperate to save their daughter, the family sought help at Narayanganj Poly Clinic and through Helpster, praying for a chance to give Afsana the lifesaving treatment she needs.

Afsana a 3 years-old baby, had been experiencing recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past two months. However, this time he was suffering from pneumonia. Despite receiving multiple courses of antibiotics from a government hospital, his condition did not improve. He became lethargic and appeared toxic, necessitating emergency hospitalization. Upon admission, Afsana was treated with oxygen therapy and nebulization with sulbutamol and ipratropium bromide. He also received injectable antibiotics and hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition. Fortunately, he has made a full recovery and is now back home with his parents, who are beaming with joy. Afsana was treated conservatively, and thankfully, he is now doing well and back home with a bright smile. She was admitted on 12/11/2025 and was discharged on 16/11/2025.
