Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites transmitted to humans through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is characterized by symptoms like high fever, chills, headache, and muscle aches, and is often preventable and treatable, though it can be fatal if not treated promptly Sepsis is a life-threatening medical emergency where the body's extreme response to an infection leads to organ dysfunction and damage. It is caused by an infection—most often bacterial, but also viral, fungal, or parasitic—triggering a dysregulated immune response that harms the body's own tissues and organs. Key symptoms include fever or low body temperature, rapid heart rate, rapid breathing, confusion, and pain, and if not treated quickly, it can lead to septic shock, multiple organ failure, and death. .

Background
Avril is the firstborn in her family and lives with her grandmother, who is a farmer. The family occasionally sells farm produce to meet basic household needs. Avril’s mother lives away from home, claiming to seek employment opportunities in urban areas, and only visits occasionally, providing little to no support. Avril and her grandmother reside in a modest one-bedroom house. Avril dreams of becoming a teacher when she grows up. Avril fell ill while her grandmother was away. She spent much of the day sleeping on a chair until a passing neighbor noticed her alone at home. The neighbor, who works at our hospital as a casual staff, and is familiar with Helpster Charity, promptly brought Avril to the hospital for care and later notified her grandmother that evening. Upon evaluation, Avril was diagnosed with malaria and septicaemia, necessitating urgent medical attention.
Medical history
AVRIL WAS TREATED WITH IV ARTESONATE INJECTION 0HRS, 12HRS, 24HRS. PER ORAL PCM, IV CEFTRIAXONE AND PER ORAL AL. THE CHILD REPORTED GREAT IMPROVEMENT FOLLOWING MEDICATIONS GIVEN,SHE WOKE THE FOLLOWING MORNING STABLE AND IN A FAIR STATE. MEDICATIONS WERE CONTINUED AND AVRIL OBSERVED TILL THE LAST DOSE GIVEN,SHE WAS DISCHARGED HOME WITH ORAL MEDICATIONS HAVING SHOWN FULL RECOVERY AND WITHOUT COMPLAINTS
Prognosis
With timely and appropriate medical treatment, Avril’s prognosis is good. Prompt management of both malaria and septicaemia significantly reduces the risk of severe complications, such as organ dysfunction or shock. If she completes the prescribed treatment regimen and receives adequate follow-up care, she is expected to make a full recovery with no long-term health consequences. Early intervention in her case greatly improves the likelihood of a positive outcome and restoration to her normal daily activities.
