Mahfuza Jahan is a gentle and hopeful housewife who dreams of bringing a healthy baby into the world despite the financial struggles she and her family face. Her husband, Md Rafiqul Islam, works as a farmer, and their combined monthly income of just 7,000 Taka is barely enough to support their household of five, which includes an elderly mother-in-law, Amina Begum, and a widowed sister-in-law, Sale Begum. With no other sources of income and ongoing hardships, the family simply cannot afford the medical costs associated with Mahfuza’s high-risk pregnancy. Now, as she faces a breech presentation at 38 weeks, the stakes are high; without the necessary medical intervention, both Mahfuza and her unborn baby are at significant risk of complications that could endanger their lives. Despite her love for cooking and her nurturing nature, Mahfuza’s greatest wish is to safely deliver her baby, and with the support from Helpster Charity, they hope to overcome this critical moment together as a family. Without this assistance, the worst-case scenario could mean losing the baby or endangering Mahfuza’s own health, a burden that the family cannot bear alone.

Mahfuza Jahan was admitted to the hospital on October 24, 2025, with a diagnosis of breech Presentation. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Both mother and newborn were discharged on October 28, 2025, in good health. Her mother in law came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic and Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. LUCS is the recommended treatment option to ensure the safe delivery of the baby in this high-risk breech presentation. With timely surgical intervention, the prognosis for both Mahfuza Jahan and her baby is good, and the procedure will significantly reduce the risk of birth complications, trauma, or fetal distress. Successful LUCS will allow the child to be born healthy and will help the mother recover without long-term complications, enabling her to care for her newborn and family. If the condition is left untreated and normal delivery is attempted, there is a high risk of obstructed labor, birth asphyxia, or even loss of the baby. Delaying or avoiding LUCS could also lead to serious, life-threatening complications for the mother.
