Background
Mst Ishrat Jahan is an 18-year-old housewife living with her husband Md. Shajamal Mia, a day laborer, and her elderly parents-in-law, with a total family income of approximately 8,000 taka per month. Due to this limited income and multiple dependents, the family is unable to afford the cost of required medical treatment. Ishrat is a patient and hopeful first-time mother who wishes to deliver a healthy baby and carefully manages her household responsibilities. At 37 weeks of pregnancy, she developed reduced fetal movement and lower abdominal pain, and an ultrasound examination confirmed a breech presentation, placing the pregnancy at increased risk. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a poster, after which her husband contacted Bablu Abdullah for support, as timely medical intervention is critical to ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Medical history
Mst Ishrat Jahan was admitted to the hospital on November 24, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation and fetal distress. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and newborn were discharged on November 28, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic and Md Abdullah Miah for their treatment and support. Prognosis
Doctors have recommended LUCS (Lower Uterine Caesarean Section) as the safest treatment option for Mst Ishrat Jahan due to the breech presentation in her first pregnancy. With timely surgical delivery, the risk of birth injury, oxygen deprivation, and prolonged or obstructed labor will be significantly reduced, giving the baby a healthy start to life. LUCS also protects the young mother from serious complications such as uterine trauma, severe bleeding, and infection. If the condition is left untreated and labor progresses naturally, the baby faces a high risk of distress, head entrapment, or even death.
