Eighteen-year-old Mousumi Akter, a gentle and hardworking young woman from the poor village of Bhaulorhat, lives with her husband—a day laborer who barely earns enough for daily meals—and her elderly in-laws, who cannot work. As her first pregnancy reached 36+ weeks, doctors discovered that her baby was in a breech position, making a normal delivery impossible and a caesarean section urgently necessary. Just as despair grew, a local man, Darimon Ali, connected them with Helpster volunteer Sadika, whose reassurance brought the family a glimmer of hope. Now they are praying for the support needed to ensure a safe delivery for Mousumi and her unborn child.

The patient,Mousumi Akter admitted to City Clinic on 08th December 2025. A successful cesarean section was performed the same day, and she delivered a healthy 2 kg female baby. Both mother and child progressed well and were discharged on 13th December 2025 with proper postnatal advice. The patient and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to Helpster, the dedicated volunteers, and City Clinic for their kind support and care throughout the treatment.

The doctor has advised a Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) as the safest treatment option for Mousumi Akter's delivery. With this procedure, both mother and baby are expected to have a stable and healthy outcome, minimizing the risks associated with breech presentation and her previous cesarean history. The surgery will help prevent life-threatening complications such as uterine rupture, fetal distress, or prolonged labor. If the condition is left untreated and a vaginal delivery is attempted, both Mousumi and her baby could face severe complications, including the risk of losing the baby or endangering the mother’s life.
