Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology

Sabina Begum has been diagnosed with a 38-week single live pregnancy complicated by oligohydramnios, a condition where the amount of protective fluid around the baby is very low. This fluid is essential for the baby’s movement, growth, and oxygen supply, and reduced levels can place the baby under stress. She has also noticed decreased fetal movement, which is a warning sign that the baby may not be doing well inside the womb.

Thank you for saving this life!

Background

Sabina Begum is a gentle and caring 25-year-old mother who dreams of a healthy life with her husband, Basir, their young son Rafsan, and her elderly in-laws. Basir works as a daily wage laborer earning only BDT 8,000 per month, which must support five family members, making it impossible for them to afford emergency medical expenses. Late in her pregnancy, Sabina suddenly developed serious complications that put her unborn baby in distress, and doctors advised urgent medical intervention. Without timely treatment, both Sabina and her baby face the risk of severe complications and possible loss of life. The family learned about Helpster Charity through miking and leaflets and is now seeking urgent support to ensure a safe delivery and protect their growing family.

Medical history

After experiencing labor pain for over 38 weeks and rupture of membrane for 12 hours and less fetal movement for 10+ hours with previous history of 1 caesarean operation , she arrived at our hospital at 1.00 PM in 31 October 2025 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful baby girl. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 03 November 2025 The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Prognosis

Doctors have recommended LUCS as the safest treatment option to manage Sabina’s pregnancy complication and deliver the baby without delay. With timely surgery, the baby can be born safely, and Sabina is expected to recover well with proper post-operative care. The procedure will prevent further stress on the baby caused by low amniotic fluid and reduced movement. If the surgery is not performed in time, the baby may suffer severe distress, lack of oxygen, or even loss of life, and the mother’s health could also be seriously endangered. Prompt intervention is crucial to protect both mother and child.
