Mst. Aysha Siddika Bristi has been diagnosed with oligohydramnios and breech presentation at 35 weeks of her first pregnancy. Oligohydramnios means there is less fluid than normal around the baby in the womb, which can limit the baby’s movement and affect its well-being. Breech presentation means the baby is positioned feet or bottom first instead of head first, making normal delivery difficult and risky.

Mst. Aysha Siddika Bristi is a 19-year-old housewife living in extreme financial hardship with her husband Md. Jani Islam, a day laborer, and his elderly parents, Md. Fajlul Islam and Mst. Lutfa Begum, surviving on a monthly family income of only 7,000 Taka. She is pregnant for the first time and is currently facing serious health problems, including continuous watery discharge and lower abdominal pain for the past two days, for which she sought care at Mother Clinic. Medical evaluation revealed reduced water around the baby and an abnormal baby position, requiring timely medical intervention. Due to their poor financial condition, the family is unable to afford the cost of necessary treatment and possible hospital delivery. The patient learned about Helpster Charity from a doctor at Mother Clinic, after which her husband contacted Helpster Charity volunteer Bablu Abdullah to seek urgent support, as delays in treatment could put both the mother and the baby at serious risk.
Medical history
Mst Aysha Siddika Bristi was admitted to the hospital on November 20, 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation and Oligohydramnios. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on November 25, 2025, in good health. Her mother in law and sister in law came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic and, Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her mother in law was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.
Prognosis
Doctors have advised LUCS (lower uterine cesarean section) as the safest treatment option for Mst. Aysha Siddika Bristi due to the low amniotic fluid and breech position of the baby. With timely surgery, the baby can be delivered safely, greatly reducing the risk of birth injury, breathing problems, or loss of the baby, while also protecting the mother from severe labor complications. The procedure will give the child a strong chance to be born healthy and allow Aysha to recover safely and continue her life as a young mother. If the condition is left untreated and labor starts naturally, the baby may suffer from distress, lack of oxygen, or life-threatening complications. Delaying or avoiding LUCS could also put Aysha’s life at serious risk due to prolonged or obstructed labor.
