Mst. Sarifa Akther is a caring 25-year-old housewife who loves making payesh and dreams of raising her child to be honest and successful, while supporting her family of five. Her husband, a day laborer earning only six thousand taka per month, struggles to cover basic needs, making it impossible for them to afford urgent medical care. At 36 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy, Sarifa developed oligohydramnios with reduced fetal movement, putting her unborn child’s life in immediate danger. Without an emergency caesarean section, both Sarifa and her baby could face life-threatening complications. Desperate to save their child, the family, who learned about Helpster Charity through a leaflet, is seeking urgent support to ensure a safe delivery and protect their family’s future.
Medical history
Mst. Sarifa Akther was admitted on 29.11.2025 at 36 weeks and 5 days of pregnancy with oligohydramnios. On the same day, she underwent a successful LSCS operation. Both mother and baby were stable and safe following the procedure. She received careful medical management and attentive nursing care, which helped her recover smoothly and ensured a secure condition for both her and the newborn. Mst. Sarifa Akther was discharged in good health on 02.12.2025.
Prognosis
The recommended treatment for her is LSCS under SAB, which is the safest option to deliver the baby immediately and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, the baby is expected to recover well and lead a healthy life. However, if the delivery is delayed or left untreated, the baby may suffer from fetal distress and oxygen deprivation, leading to permanent brain damage or even death, and the mother may also face life-threatening infections or complications.
