Mst. Sompa Khatun is a gentle 22-year-old housewife who lives with her husband Md. Rabby, his parents, and younger brother in a five-member family that survives on a monthly income of only 8,000 taka earned through day labor. She enjoys cooking and lovingly dreams of welcoming her first child, hoping for a safe delivery and a healthy baby. At 37 weeks of pregnancy, she developed lower abdominal pain and reduced fetal movement, and medical examination showed a serious condition that requires urgent care.
