This means the baby is positioned feet-down instead of head-down, and there is less protective fluid around the baby than normal. Sreemoti Aroti Bala Varoti is a devoted housewife who lives in financial hardship with her husband Sree Sumon Chandro, a day laborer, and their family of five, including their young daughter Suborna Rani and elderly parents who depend on them. With a total monthly income of only 8,000 taka, the family struggles to cover daily necessities and has no savings for medical emergencies. Now 36 weeks pregnant and facing serious pregnancy complications, Aroti remains gentle and hopeful, finding comfort in cooking while dreaming of a safe birth for her baby. Without timely surgical treatment, her condition could lead to severe complications that may endanger both her life and the unborn child. After learning from a poster that Helpster supports poor patients with surgical costs, her husband reached out to a Helpster volunteer in hope of saving both mother and baby
Medical history
Sreemoti Aroti Bala Varoti was admitted to the hospital on November 20 , 2025, with a diagnosis of Breech Presentation and Oligohydramnois. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Both mother and newborn were discharged on November 15, 2025, in good health. Her mother in law came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic and, Bablu Abdullah for their treatment and support. Her mother in law was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.
Prognosis
Doctors have recommended LUCS as the safest treatment option for Sreemoti Aroti Bala Varoti due to her breech baby, low amniotic fluid, and history of a previous caesarean section. With a planned caesarean delivery, the baby can be born safely, greatly reducing the risk of birth injury, distress, or loss of the baby, while also protecting the mother from dangerous labor complications. This timely treatment will allow both mother and child to recover well and continue a healthy life together. If the condition is left untreated and labor starts naturally, there is a high risk of severe complications, including rupture of the uterus, lack of oxygen to the baby, or emergency situations that could be fatal. Delaying LUCS could therefore put both the mother’s and the baby’s lives in serious danger.
