Background
Masuda Khatun is a responsible and patient young woman who continues to support her family despite severe financial limitations. With her husband Dulal Hossen unemployed and earning only about 6,000 taka per month from private tuition, the family income is barely enough to support Masuda, Dulal’s elderly parents, and his younger brother Apon Mia, who is also unemployed and has a wife and infant child. Because this single, unstable income is used to meet basic daily needs, the family has no ability to pay for hospital treatment or delivery-related costs. Masuda’s full-term pregnancy, combined with breech presentation and mild oligohydramnios, places both mother and baby at high risk if proper medical care is not provided, including the danger of obstructed labor and fetal distress. The family learned about Helpster Charity through the staff of CSDK, who informed them about the available support during this critical time.
Medical history
Date of Admission: 04/12/2025 Date of Discharge: 07/12/2025 Masuda Khatun was admitted to the hospital for a planned C-section due to her full-term pregnancy, breech presentation, and mild oligohydramnios. The surgery was successfully carried out under the supervision of an experienced medical team. A healthy baby was delivered safely, and both Masuda and her baby remained stable throughout the procedure. Following the operation, Masuda received proper post-surgical care, including antibiotics and pain management, and her recovery progressed smoothly. Within a few days, she was able to move comfortably and care for her newborn. Both mother and baby are now healthy, and Masuda feels relieved and grateful for a safe delivery and successful recovery.
Prognosis
The doctors have advised that with timely medical care, including a planned cesarean section, Masuda and her baby have a high likelihood of a safe delivery and good health. Proper management of her breech presentation, full-term pregnancy, and mild oligohydramnios can greatly reduce risks such as fetal distress, prolonged labor, excessive bleeding, or other delivery-related complications. However, if left unmanaged or if a normal vaginal delivery is attempted, it could result in serious, potentially life-threatening consequences for both mother and child.
