Mst. Rufaita Noor is a 38-day-old baby girl, the first child of Md. Rezaul Karim, a poor farmer, and Zulekha Khatun, a housewife, living together with the child’s widowed grandmother, Amena Begum, on a monthly income of only 8,000 taka. The family struggles to meet basic needs, leaving them unable to afford the cost of urgent medical care. Rufaita is a fragile infant who has been suffering from high fever, cold, and breathing difficulty for several days, causing great fear for her parents. If she does not receive timely treatment, her condition could worsen rapidly and become life-threatening at such a young age. After learning from a poster that Helpster provides support for poor patients, her father contacted Helpster Charity volunteer Bablu Abdullah in hope of saving their child’s life.

Mst Rufaita was admitted to the hospital on November 14, 2025, with high fever. After diagnoses, she was found with Pneumonia. After getting treatment for four days, she was discharged on November 18, 2025, in good health. Her mother and grand mother were ata hospital to take care of her. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Mother Clinic and, Md Abdullah Miah for their treatment and support. Her mother was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.

Doctors have advised immediate hospitalization with antibiotics, oxygen support, and other supportive treatments to help Mst. Rufaita Noor fight the lung infection and breathe more easily. With timely and proper treatment, the infection can be controlled, allowing her lungs to recover and giving her a strong chance to grow up healthy. Hospital care will also prevent the infection from spreading or causing long-term damage to her fragile lungs. If she is left untreated, her breathing may become more difficult, leading to severe complications such as respiratory failure or blood infection. At her young age, delaying treatment could be life-threatening.
