Mohammad is a cheerful and gentle 2-month-old baby boy who lives with his parents and brother in a small tin-shed house, where the family struggles to survive on a very limited income. His parents dream of him becoming a kind and successful doctor one day, but they cannot afford the costly hospital treatment after his illness worsened into pneumonia. As Mohammad’s breathing became increasingly difficult, his parents felt helpless and afraid of losing him if urgent care was not provided. They were informed about Helpster Charity by community members who had seen other poor families receive free treatment at Narayanganj Poly Clinic, Helpster’s partner hospital in Bangladesh. With hope as their only support, the family rushed to the clinic seeking lifesaving treatment for their beloved child.

Mohammad, a 2-month-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few months, For the last few days he was suffering from cough and cold but this time he was diagnosed with pneumonia with complaints of cough and cold for 4 days, respiratory distress for 2 days, fever for 2 days. This time, his condition worsened as he developed pneumonia. Despite multiple courses of antibiotics from local pharmacies, his health continued to decline, leaving him lethargic and in a toxic state. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, he received critical care at Narayanganj Polyclinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition. Mohammad was admitted on 5/12/25, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 11/12/25. Now, after receiving the care he needed,Mohammad is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to his family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, his parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and Narayanganj Polyclinic for saving our son's life; we are forever grateful for your support!"

The patient was suffering from pneumonia, which posed a life-threatening risk and required immediate treatment. Upon admission, he received emergency care, including intramuscular antibiotics, nebulization, and oxygen support, as intravenous administration was not feasible due to repeated cannula displacement. If left untreated, this condition could have led to serious lung infections, respiratory failure, sepsis, and potentially death; however, I am pleased to report that the patient is now doing well and has returned to his normal daily life, bringing smiles to his parents' faces.
