About gynecology
The patient has been diagnosed with oligohydramnios at 36+ weeks of pregnancy. This condition means there is very little fluid surrounding the baby in the womb, which is essential for the baby’s movement, growth, and safety. Because of the low fluid level, the baby is at risk of distress and lack of oxygen. Immediate medical attention is needed to prevent serious harm to the unborn child.

Background
Rina Begum is a caring and hopeful mother who lovingly looks after her two children, Sumaiya and Saimun, and her elderly mother-in-law, Anwara Begum, while dreaming of a safe birth for her unborn baby. Her husband, Alauddin, works as a daily wage laborer earning only 8,000 taka per month, which barely covers food and school expenses for the five-member family, leaving no ability to pay for emergency medical care. When Rina noticed continuous leakage of water and reduced movement of her baby, she was taken to the hospital where doctors found the baby in serious danger and advised urgent surgery. Without this treatment, the unborn child could suffer severe harm or even lose life, and Rina herself could face serious complications. The family learned about Helpster Charity through an old patient and local miking, and this support is now their only hope to save the baby and keep the family together.
Medical history
After experiencing, passage of gush of water and leaky membrane for 1 days and less fetal movement for 1 days without labor pain, she arrived at our hospital at 1.00PM in 05 December 2025 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful male baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 08 December 2025. The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.
Prognosis
The recommended treatment for this case is Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS), which is the safest option to deliver the baby immediately and prevent further complications. This procedure will help relieve fetal distress and reduce the risks caused by oligohydramnios and PROM, ensuring the best possible outcome for both mother and child. With timely surgery, the baby is expected to recover well and lead a healthy life. However, if the delivery is delayed or left untreated, the baby may suffer from severe oxygen deprivation, leading to permanent brain damage or even death, and the mother may also face life-threatening infections or complications.
