Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology

Salma Akter has been diagnosed as Primi Gravida with 39 weeks of pregnancy with less fetal movement with breech presentation. Breech presentation is a condition in which the fetus is positioned with the lower extremities or pelvis presenting first at the uterine opening, rather than the head. When this is combined with less fetal movement for 2 days indicates intrauterine fetal distress which may cause neonatal mortality or still birth if a timely cesarean section is not performed.

Thank you for saving this life!

Background

Salma Akter is a kind and hopeful young woman who dreams of welcoming her first child into a healthy and happy life, but her family struggles with deep financial hardship. Her husband, Harun, earns only around 8,000 BDT per month through agricultural work, which is barely enough to support their four-member household, making it impossible to afford the urgent surgery she now needs. As her pregnancy reached full term, complications arose with severe pain and reduced movement of the baby, putting both mother and child at serious risk. Without an immediate caesarean section, the life of her unborn baby and her own health could be in danger. After learning about Helpster Charity through local miking and volunteer Abdur Rahman, the family now holds onto hope to save both mother and child.

Medical history

After experiencing, lower abdominal pain for 2 days and less fetal movement for 1 day over 39+ weeks of her pregnancy , she arrived at our hospital at 11.0AM in 7th December,2025, where doctors performed an ultrasound and clinical examination that revealed breech presentation with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful female baby . Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 10 December 2025.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Prognosis

According to the doctors, Salma Akter urgently requires LUCS (Lower Uterine Caesarean Section) to safely deliver her baby due to the abnormal position and reduced movement. With timely surgery, both mother and child have a high chance of safe delivery and recovery, allowing the baby to be born healthy and the mother to regain her strength. This procedure will prevent complications during childbirth and ensure proper care for both lives. However, if left untreated, the baby may suffer from severe distress due to lack of oxygen, which can be life-threatening. Delay in surgery can also put the mother at serious risk, including complications that may endanger her life.
