Harmony is a 13-year-old boy living with his parents in a modest household. His father works as a security guard, earning about KSh 2,000, and the family resides in a simple mud house. They walk long distances to fetch water, use a pit latrine, and typically manage only two meals a day. Harmony is currently in Grade 4 at a nearby day school. Harmony is respectful, resilient, and hardworking. Despite his family’s challenges, he remains obedient, humble, and eager to learn. He maintains good discipline both at home and in school and gets along well with his classmates and teachers. He enjoys playing football, helping his parents with household chores, and taking part in school activities. He is attentive in class and especially enjoys practical subjects. Harmony hopes to continue his education, complete school, and secure a stable job in the future. His goal is to support his parents, improve his family’s living conditions, and make a positive impact in his community. Harmony’s illness began with a mild respiratory infection, presenting as cough, fever, difficulty breathing, and general weakness. Without timely medical care, his condition worsened. A community health promoter who was aware of Helpster Charity Organisation referred him to Bulondo Health Centre

Harmony was admitted to Bulondo Health Centre with severe pneumonia and was in critical condition. After assessment by the medical team, she was immediately started on oxygen therapy, injectable antibiotics, antipyretics, and supportive care, including close monitoring of her breathing and vital signs. Through the support of Helpster Charity Organization, all her medical costs were covered, enabling her to receive timely and complete treatment without financial barriers. Harmony responded well to treatment, her breathing improved, fever subsided, and she gradually regained strength. She was later discharged in a stable and improved condition with follow-up advice.

With the prompt treatment he is receiving, Harmony’s prognosis is good. Most respiratory infections improve significantly once proper medical management is started, especially in children who respond quickly to treatment. As his breathing stabilizes, fever resolves, and strength returns, Harmony is expected to make a full recovery.
