Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology
The patient is a 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant woman, gravida 3 and para 2, who presented with breech presentation, a condition in which the fetus is positioned in the uterus with its bottom or feet pointing downward instead of the usual head-down position. Due to these complications, the fetus was at risk of fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, birth trauma such as brachial plexus injury, and head entrapment, requiring immediate medical intervention to ensure the safety of both the mother and the baby.

Background
Most. Arju Akter Mimi is a caring and devoted housewife who lives a very modest life on government land with her husband Md. Kawsar, an auto driver earning only 6,000 taka per month, their two young children, and her elderly in-laws. With six family members to support—including a 4-year-old child with autism—the family struggles daily to meet basic needs and has no ability to afford emergency medical expenses. Now 36 weeks pregnant with her third child, Arju has developed abdominal pain, and doctors found the baby is in a risky position that requires immediate surgery. Despite her pain and fear, she remains hopeful and loving, dreaming of raising her children with honesty and care. Without timely treatment, both her life and her unborn baby’s life could be in serious danger, which is why the family sought Helpster Charity support after learning about it from a health worker.
Medical history
Most. Arju Akter Mimi was admitted with a 36 weeks and 2 days pregnancy complicated by breech presentation on 12.12.2025. On the same day, she underwent a LUCS, which was performed successfully, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. Following the surgery, she received proper medical management, continuous monitoring, and attentive nursing care, which ensured a smooth and secure recovery for both mother and baby. Her condition remained stable throughout the hospital stay, and she showed steady improvement. Most. Arju Akter Mimi was discharged in satisfactory condition on 15.12.2025.
Prognosis
The recommended treatment for her is LUCS under SAB, which is the safest option to deliver the baby immediately and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, the baby is expected to recover well and lead a healthy life. However, if the delivery is delayed or left untreated, the baby may suffer from oxygen deprivation, leading to permanent brain damage or even death, and the mother may also face life-threatening infections or complications.
