Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About gynecology

Anowara Hafsa, at 37+ weeks of pregnancy, has been diagnosed with severe oligohydramnios with breech presentation, a critical condition where the baby is positioned feet or pelvis first and there is very little amniotic fluid. This combination greatly increases the risk of fetal distress, umbilical cord compression, and complications during delivery. Without an urgent cesarean section, both the mother and baby face life-threatening danger. Timely medical intervention is essential to ensure a safe delivery and protect their lives.

Thank you for saving this life!

Background

Anowara Hafsa is a caring and resilient 25-year-old mother who lives with her husband, young son, and elderly in-laws in a financially struggling household. Her husband, Rifat Alam, works in agriculture and earns only around 10,000 BDT per month, which is barely enough to support the five family members, making it impossible to afford emergency medical treatment. Despite these challenges, Anowara is a hopeful and devoted mother who dreamed of a safe delivery and a healthy baby. The family learned about Helpster Charity through local miking, which gave them a chance to seek urgent help. Without immediate treatment, her condition could become life-threatening, as a breech baby with severe low amniotic fluid and fetal distress may lead to loss of the baby or serious complications for both mother and child.

Medical history

After experiencing, labour pain for 15+ hours and leaky membrane for 10+ hours , she arrived at our hospital at 06.00PM in 22 December 2025 and doctors performed an ultrasound that revealed breech presentation with amniotic fluid is very low with fetal distress , making vaginal delivery impossible. An emergency cesarean section was promptly arranged, and the procedure was successful, resulting in the birth of a beautiful male baby. Both the mother and the baby are safe and sound, with no complications arising from the surgery. We discharged the patient at 10.30AM in 25 December 2025.The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital for their timely and effective care.

Prognosis

Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) is a life-saving procedure for Anowara Hafsa in this condition. With timely surgery, the baby can be delivered safely, reducing the risk of oxygen deprivation and preventing further complications for both mother and child. After the operation, Anowara is expected to recover well with proper care, and her baby has a strong chance of being healthy and stable. However, if left untreated, severe oligohydramnios with fetal distress can quickly become life-threatening. The baby may suffer from severe oxygen shortage, which can lead to stillbirth or long-term complications, while the mother may also face serious risks during prolonged or complicated labor. Immediate surgical intervention is therefore crucial to save both lives.
