Mohammad is an 8-month-old cheerful and lively baby living in a tin-shed rented house with his parents, grandmother, and sisters, where the family struggles to meet daily needs. He had been happily growing up in the village, but after days of cough, fever, and increasing breathing difficulty, he was diagnosed with pneumonia. With no permanent home and no financial savings, his parents were unable to afford the cost of treatment, leaving the entire family anxious and helpless. Without urgent medical care, Mohammad’s condition could worsen quickly and become life-threatening for such a young child. After learning about Helpster from a Polyclinic staff member who is also their neighbor, the family brought Mohammad to Narayanganj Polyclinic, hoping for support to save his life and protect their child’s future.

Mohammad 8 month-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few months, but this time, his condition worsened as he developed pneumonia. Despite multiple courses of antibiotics from local pharmacies, his health continued to decline, leaving him lethargic and in a toxic state. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, he received critical care at Narayanganj Polyclinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition. Mohammad was admitted on 30/12/25, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 05/01/26. Now, after receiving the care he needed, Mohammad is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to his family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, his parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and Narayanganj Polyclinic for saving our son's life; we are forever grateful for your support!"

The patient was suffering from pneumonia, which posed a life-threatening risk and required immediate treatment. Upon admission, he received emergency care, including intramuscular antibiotics, nebulization, and oxygen support, as intravenous administration was not feasible due to repeated cannula displacement. If left untreated, this condition could have led to serious lung infections, respiratory failure, sepsis, and potentially death; however, I am pleased to report that the patient is now doing well and has returned to his normal daily life, bringing smiles to his parents' faces.
