Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Favour lives with her mother and two siblings. Her mother is the sole breadwinner of the family and earns a living by hawking ripe bananas at the nearby market. Due to lack of childcare support, she often carries the baby with her to the market while working. Favour developed a swelling at the umbilicus accompanied by a fluid-like discharge. Her mother initially applied herbal remedies, but the condition worsened. The discharge became pus-like and foul-smelling, andFavour later developed a fever. Concerned about the child’s condition, the mother sought medical help at the hospital. The mother learned about Helpster Charity through a community health volunteer at the market who was aware of families facing financial hardship and advised her to seek care at the hospital, where Helpster Charity supports underprivileged patients. Upon assessment at the facility, Favour was diagnosed with septic umbilical granuloma and treatment was initiated.
