Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Naziru Muhammed is a bright and respectful 16-year-old boy known for his calm nature and good manners. He is curious, hardworking, and shows a strong sense of responsibility for his age. In his free time, he enjoys playing football with friends, listening to music, and helping his family with daily activities. Naziru has a strong interest in school and hopes to continue his education despite current challenges. His dream is to grow up healthy, complete his studies, and build a meaningful career that will allow him to support his family and contribute positively to his community. Naziru Muhammed, a 16-year-old boy, developed abdominal pain that started around the navel and gradually moved to the lower right side of his abdomen over five days. The pain became severe and was associated with nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and mild fever. Medical examination and laboratory tests showed signs of infection, and he was diagnosed with a ruptured appendix. He is currently stable but in pain and requires urgent surgical removal of the appendix. He is awaiting approval for surgery.

Medical history

Naziru, a 16-year-old boy, was admitted on 24/01/2026 with acute appendicitis and underwent a successful emergency appendectomy. He received intravenous antibiotics, pain management, intravenous fluids, and comprehensive postoperative care with close medical monitoring. After five days in the hospital, Naziru recovered well. His abdominal pain resolved, his surgical wound healed well, and he was discharged home in stable condition with medications and follow-up instructions. He is expected to make a full recovery and resume his normal daily activities. Thanks to Helpter Charity for sponsoring the treatment of Naziru.

Prognosis

With timely surgical treatment and proper medical care, the doctor expects Naziru Muhammed to make a full recovery and return to his normal daily activities and schooling. However, if left untreated, a ruptured appendix can lead to severe infection, widespread abdominal sepsis, and may become life-threatening.
