Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Severe malaria is a life-threatening infection caused by Plasmodium falciparum. It occurs when the parasite multiplies rapidly, affecting red blood cells and causing systemic illness. Patients typically present with high-grade fever, chills, weakness, persistent vomiting, pallor, and lethargy. Prompt treatment with intravenous antimalarials, hydration, and supportive care is critical to prevent serious complications such as anemia, organ failure, cerebral malaria, or death.

Background
Hauwa Abubakar is a 13-year-old girl who loves helping her mother in the kitchen and tending to the family garden. She enjoys drawing and listening to local stories in her community. Hauwa dreams of becoming a nurse one day so she can care for sick children in her town. She has been generally healthy, with no chronic illnesses or prior surgeries. Hauwa Abubakar, a 13-year-old female, presented with high-grade fever, chills, and generalized weakness for 3 days. She also had headache, persistent vomiting, and loss of appetite. Her parents noticed she was lethargic, irritable, and complained of body pains. There was no history of cough, diarrhea, or recent malaria episodes. She had been healthy prior to the onset of symptoms. No known drug allergies or previous surgeries. Diagnosis: severe malaria Management plan: Immediate initiation of intravenous antimalarial therapy (artesunate), supportive care including hydration and antipyretics, with close monitoring of vital signs, urine output, and neurological status to prevent complications.
Medical history
After falling seriously ill with fever, diarrhea,abdominal pain and headache, HAUWA struggled to keep up with school and daily life. Her family, worried and without enough money for treatment, turned to Helpster Charity for support. Thanks to Helpster Charity, she was evaluated and investigated in UMD hospital and diagnosed with SEVERE Malaria fever complicated by dehydration. She was admitted and had antimalarial drugs,intravenous fluids with other supportive treatment in the hospital for 3 days. Slowly, she recovered, symptoms subsided, and she regained her strength. She was discharged home with her parents, and she can enjoy his childhood and return to school. Prognosis
Hauwa is experiencing fever, loss of appetite, general body weakness, and vomiting, which has kept her out of school. She appears moderately dehydrated and very uncomfortable. Prompt treatment of acute malaria, possibly complicated by typhoid fever, is crucial to prevent serious complications. Treatment of acute malaria and typhoid fever have good prognosis and health status will significantly improve to enable her to return back to school for her studies.
