Vincent B., 5

Vincent lives with his mother and four siblings. His mother earns a living by selling sweet bananas as a hawker in the nearby market. Vincent attends a local primary school, enjoys playing football with his friends, and dreams of becoming a police officer in the future. Vincent developed symptoms including cough, runny nose, fever, and wheezing. His mother initially gave him cough syrup, but his condition progressively worsened. The cough and wheezing intensified, leading to difficulty in breathing, and soon Vincent began to struggle for breath. He became weak and restless, which greatly alarmed his mother. Concerned about his worsening condition, Vincent’s mother was advised by a neighbour to take him to the hospital. The neighbour had learned about Helpster Charity after her own child had previously received treatment through the programme. Following this advice, Vincent was taken to the hospital, where he was examined, tested, and treated with the support of Helpster Charity.

Vincent bibo presented to the hospital and was examined tested and found to have severe pneumonia and bronchospasms. He was treated with antibiotics and antipyretics and drugs to open the airway ( bronchodilators). He was then observed for 3 days and discharged home.Vincent bibo is now feeling better and back to his normal activities. His mother is so happy and says thank you helpster charity for assisting my son to regain his normal health

Doctors see it as manageable, especially when treated promptly with inhalers or nebulization. Prognosis is generally good, though it may recur in children with asthma or allergies.
