He developed a high-grade fever with chills and general weakness over three days, along with vomiting, poor appetite, headache, and lethargy. Tests confirmed severe malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum with high parasitemia.
Medical history
Mamman Muhammad, an 18-year-old young man, was admitted on 15/01/2026 with severe malaria. He received antimalarial medications, intravenous fluids, antipyretics, nutritional support, and close medical monitoring. After three days in the hospital, Mamman responded well to treatment. His fever resolved, he regained his strength, and he was discharged home in good condition, able to return to his normal daily activities.
