Umar Abdulrashit is an active and curious young boy who enjoys both outdoor and indoor activities. Despite having occasional health challenges such as asthma, he has dreams of pursuing his education, staying healthy, and achieving his goals. Umar suddenly developed chest pain, cough, and difficulty breathing. These symptoms were accompanied by weakness and sweating. He had no major prior illnesses, although he had experienced occasional breathing problems in the past. On examination, Umar appeared ill, with a fast pulse and rapid breathing. He also had mild splenomegaly. Investigations revealed mild anemia, with normal blood sugar and electrolyte levels. The condition caused rapid breathing and general illness, requiring urgent medical attention and treatment. He was diagnosed with acute asthma and malaria and is currently under medical care.

Umar, an 18-year-old young man, was admitted on 18/01/2026 with an acute asthma exacerbation complicated by malaria.
