Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Severe malaria is a life-threatening medical emergency characterized by vital organ dysfunction, often resulting from delayed treatment of uncomplicated malaria, especially by the Plasmodium falciparum parasite, causing complications like coma, severe anemia, acute kidney injury, respiratory distress, or shock, and requiring immediate intensive care. A chest infection is an infection of the lungs or large airways (bronchi) that often follows a cold or flu, causing symptoms like a persistent cough with colored mucus, wheezing, breathlessness, and fever. Severe malaria and chest infection together are serious and life-threatening conditions, especially in children. Severe malaria causes high fever, severe anemia, weakness, seizures, breathing problems, and organ damage. A chest infection can cause cough, fast or difficult breathing, chest pain, and low oxygen levels. When both occur at the same time, the body is under great stress and breathing problems can worsen. Diagnosis is made with blood tests and chest examination or X-ray.

The prognosis for Alamin a 3-year-old boy with severe malaria and a chest infection is serious but can be good if treated early. Treatment requires urgent hospital care, intravenous antimalarial medicines, antibiotics, oxygen, fluids, and close monitoring. With quick hospital care, proper medicines, oxygen, and close monitoring, Alamin will recover well. Delayed treatment increases the risk of complications or death.
