Tasfiya is a charming one-month-old baby girl who lives with her parents and grandparents in a small, crowded rented tin-shed room, as the family has no permanent home. Her father earns only 8,000 BDT per month, which is barely enough to manage rent, food, and daily expenses for the four family members, leaving no savings for emergency medical care. After several days of cough and cold, her condition suddenly worsened into severe pneumonia with breathing difficulty, leaving her parents and grandparents deeply worried as they watched her tiny chest struggle for air. Despite their dreams of seeing her grow up to become a successful advocate one day, the family cannot afford the cost of proper hospital treatment. If she does not receive urgent care, the infection may rapidly worsen and become life-threatening, which is why they sought help from Narayanganj Poly Clinic and Helpster Charity after learning about their support from Dr. Munna.

Tasfiya 1 month-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few months, but this time, her condition worsened as she developed severe pneumonia. Despite multiple courses of antibiotics from local pharmacies, her health continued to decline, leaving him lethargic and in a toxic state. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, she received critical care at Narayanganj Polyclinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition. Tasfiya was admitted on 21/1/26, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 26/1/26. Now, after receiving the care he needed, Tasfiya is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to his family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, her parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and Narayanganj Polyclinic; we are forever grateful for your support!"

The doctor has advised immediate hospitalization with intravenous antibiotics and supportive therapy to treat Tasfiya’s severe pneumonia. With timely and proper medical care, her infection can be controlled, her breathing will gradually improve, and she is expected to recover fully and continue her normal growth and development. Close hospital monitoring will help ensure that any complications are managed quickly and safely. However, if left untreated, the infection may worsen rapidly, leading to severe breathing failure or spread of infection throughout the body. In such a young infant, these complications can become life-threatening, making urgent treatment essential for her survival and healthy future.
