Sixteen-year-old Nurul Amin, a calm and resilient boy living in Camp 03 as a Forcibly Displaced Myanmar National, is known for his polite nature and love for cricket, which brings rare moments of happiness to his difficult camp life. He lives with seven family members who survive only on limited UNHCR assistance of around 3,000 BDT per month, leaving them with no means to afford specialized medical treatment. After suffering a traumatic fracture of his right radio-ulnar bone while playing, he now struggles with severe pain and difficulty moving his hand and wrist, making even simple daily tasks challenging. Without proper orthopedic surgery and treatment, the injury may heal improperly, leading to permanent deformity, chronic pain, and loss of hand function that could shatter his dream of continuing education and supporting his family. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Helpster Volunteer Ahamad Ali Azad and reached out with hope to restore their son’s future.

Nurul Amin is a 16-year-old boy admitted at Orion Hospital on 24th January 2026 with the complaint of severe pain and swelling un the affected wrist for 2 days, history of fall on an outstretched hand and inability to move the right and wrist for the same duration and diagnosed right sided colle's fracture. On the admission day the patient received the treatment that was closed reduction of the fracture and immobilization with right below posterior backslab. No the patient is stable and discharged with advice on 26th January 2026. The patient and his family is grateful to Helpster Charity and Orion hospital for the support.

The doctor’s prognosis is that with conservative treatment, including a back slab POP cast and proper immobilization, Nurul Amin’s fractured radius and ulna are expected to heal successfully. Keeping the wrist and forearm in a functional position will support correct bone alignment and help him regain normal movement over time. With regular follow-up and gradual physiotherapy, he should be able to return to his usual daily activities and school life without long-term problems. However, if the fracture is left untreated, the bones may heal improperly, causing deformity, weakness, and restricted arm function. Untreated injuries can also lead to chronic pain and complications that may affect his quality of life permanently.
