Md. Tamim Islam is a bright and cheerful 10-year-old boy who loves playing cricket and dreams of becoming a teacher one day. His father, Md. Nurul Islam, works as a day laborer earning only 6,000 taka per month, while his mother, Most. Tania Parvin, takes care of the family, including Tamim’s younger sister Tanjila and his elderly grandfather Abu Ali. They have no permanent home and struggle to meet even their daily needs, making it impossible to afford the surgery Tamim urgently requires for his injured left arm. If he does not receive treatment soon, his condition may worsen, causing lasting pain and limiting the use of his arm for the rest of his life. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a local health worker and is now seeking support to give Tamim a chance for a healthy and hopeful future.

Tamim was admitted on 19.06.2026 with a supracondylar (SC) fracture of the left elbow. After proper clinical evaluation and necessary investigations, the doctors decided to perform corrective osteotomy surgery on the same day of admission. The operation was completed successfully under proper medical supervision, and Tamim remained stable and safe after the procedure. Following the surgery, he received appropriate medical treatment, pain management, regular monitoring, and continuous nursing care to support his recovery. His condition gradually improved with proper postoperative management, and the affected elbow showed satisfactory healing progress. Due to attentive medical care and supportive nursing management, Tamim recovered well and achieved a secure and stable condition. As his overall health condition became satisfactory, he was discharged from the hospital on 23.06.2026 with advice for follow-up care, rest, and rehabilitation exercises for better recovery of elbow movement and function.

The doctor has advised that Tamim needs corrective surgery under general anesthesia to restore the proper shape and function of his left elbow. With this treatment, Tamim has a strong chance of reducing pain, improving arm movement, and returning to normal daily activities, including playing and studying comfortably. The surgery will also help prevent further complications as he grows and allow him to live with greater confidence. However, if he is left untreated, the deformity may worsen over time, leading to permanent stiffness, weakness, and ongoing pain. Without proper care, Tamim may face lifelong difficulty using his arm, which could affect his education, future work, and overall quality of life.
