Najmus Sakib has been diagnosed with a hernial sac in the right hemiscrotum, which means part of the intestine has moved down into the scrotal area, causing swelling and discomfort. This condition has been present since birth and is now affecting his ability to sit and walk without pain. If left untreated, the hernia may increase in size and could lead to serious complications such as obstruction or reduced blood supply to the trapped tissue. With proper medical care and timely surgery, he can recover fully and live a normal, healthy life.

Background
Najmus Sakib is a calm 3-year-old boy who has been suffering since birth from swelling and pain on the right side of his scrotum, making it difficult for him to sit or walk comfortably. His father, Md. Sabuj Alom, is a day laborer earning only 6,000 taka per month, and with five family members including his mother Shorifa Khatun, elder brother Shafayet Hossain, and infant brother Md. Shihab, the family struggles to meet even basic needs. They live in fragile conditions on government-owned land, so paying for specialized medical care is beyond their ability. The family learned about Helpster Charity through medical staff at New Evercare Hospital and came seeking support for Sakib’s treatment. Without proper care, his condition could worsen over time, causing severe pain and complications that may affect his future health and daily life.
Medical history
Najmus Sakib was admitted on 30.04.2026 with a diagnosis of hernial sac in the right hemiscrotum. On the same day, he underwent a herniotomy operation to treat the condition and prevent further complications. The operation was successful, and he remained stable throughout the procedure. Following the surgery, he received appropriate medical management, including pain relief, antibiotics, intravenous fluids, and close monitoring of his recovery progress. Proper nursing care, nutritional support, and post-operative observation played an important role in his healing process. Gradually, his condition improved, and he recovered well without complications. He was discharged on 03.05.2026 in a safe and stable condition, with advice for follow-up and continued care at home
Prognosis
The recommended treatment for him is herniotomy under general anesthesia (G/A), which is the safest option to prevent further complications. With timely surgery, the patient is expected to recover well and lead a healthy life. However, if the surgery is delayed or left untreated, the patient may develop complications such as strangulation, chronic pain, an increase in size, intestinal obstruction, and necrosis.
