Most Jakia Sultana is a calm, gentle, and compassionate 18-year-old mother living with her husband, their 2-year-old child, and other family members in a small tin-made house in a rural area. Her husband works as a daily laborer and earns only BDT 6,000–7,000 per month, which is barely enough to cover food and daily necessities, leaving the family unable to afford her treatment costs. Despite ongoing throat pain, ear discharge, and severe headaches, Jakia continues to care for her child and manage household responsibilities with patience and hope. Without timely medical care, her condition may worsen and could lead to serious infections, long-term hearing problems, and difficulties in fulfilling her role as a mother. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Dr. Habibur Rahman Habib, a volunteer, who connected them with another volunteer, Md. Abu Hanif, giving them hope and support in seeking the treatment she urgently needs.

Most Jakia Sultana was diagnosed with recurrent tonsillitis and chronic otitis media of the left ear. As advised by her doctors, she underwent two separate surgeries with a three-month interval. She successfully underwent Tonsillectomy on 03 April 2026 and recovered well.After satisfactory recovery, she was admitted on 02 July 2026 for evaluation and treatment of her chronic left ear condition. Following a comprehensive assessment, she successfully underwent Myringoplasty on 03 July 2026 to repair the perforated eardrum, prevent recurrent ear infections, and restore normal ear function.She received appropriate postoperative care and remained under medical observation. As her recovery progressed without complications, she was discharged in stable condition on 04 July 2026. She has recovered well and continues routine follow-up as advised by her doctors.

Doctors have advised performing a tonsillectomy and myringoplasty in a planned manner with a three-month interval to allow safe recovery and the best possible outcome. With these treatments, the patient is expected to be free from repeated throat and ear infections, experience relief from pain and discharge, and gradually regain normal hearing and strength. Successful surgery will significantly improve her ability to care for her child, manage daily activities, and maintain a healthier family life. If left untreated, the infections may continue to worsen, increasing the risk of permanent hearing loss, serious complications, and long-term weakness. Delayed treatment could also affect her overall well-being and her ability to provide proper care and stability for her child.
