Background

For a year, Asha has quietly endured swelling and pain in her left inguinal area, finding it difficult to sit, walk, or play with her friends. If her left-sided inguinal hernia is not treated in time, it may become obstructed or strangulated, leading to severe pain, infection, and life-threatening complications. The family, who learned about Helpster Charity from a beneficiary, is now seeking support to ensure Asha receives the treatment she urgently needs.
Medical history
Asha Moni was admitted to the hospital on 04/06/2026 with a left-sided inguinal hernia. She underwent a successful herniotomy on the same day without any complications. Following the surgery, she received appropriate medical treatment, postoperative monitoring, and nursing care, which contributed to a steady recovery. Her condition improved satisfactorily, and after being declared stable and safe by the treating physician, she was discharged from the hospital on 06/06/2026 with advice for follow-up and routine postoperative care.
Prognosis
The doctor has recommended a herniotomy to repair the defect in Asha’s abdominal wall and prevent further complications. According to the doctor, after the surgery she is expected to recover fully, with relief from pain and swelling, allowing her to sit comfortably, attend school regularly, and play with her friends again. The procedure will prevent the hernia from increasing in size and protect her from dangerous complications.
