Ten-month-old Roza Moni has been suffering from high fever, cough, cold, and increasing breathing difficulty for several days, which led to her admission to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Al Manar Hospital with severe pneumonia. Her father, Md. Delawer Hossain, earns only about BDT 9,000 per month as a rickshaw puller, barely managing to support their family of five, while her mother, Lipi Akter, is a homemaker with no income. Living in a small rented tin-shed house in Nilgram village, the family has no savings and is unable to afford the high cost of intensive medical treatment. Without timely treatment, her condition could become life-threatening. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Dr. Ehtesum, Emergency Medical Officer at Al Manar Hospital, who connected them with Helpster volunteer Mr. Sheikh Monir Swapon in hopes of receiving urgent financial support.

The patient Roza Moni, aged 10 months, was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital Ltd., Dhaka, on 23 January 2026 with a diagnosis of severe pneumonia with respiratory distress.Due to the seriousness of her condition, she was immediately shifted to the PICU, where she received oxygen support, intravenous antibiotics, and close medical monitoring. With continuous care and timely treatment, her breathing gradually improved and her condition stabilized. She was discharged on 01 February 2026 with medical advice for follow-up care and completion of prescribed medications. The child’s parents expressed deep gratitude to Helpster Charity for standing by them during this critical time and making their baby’s treatment possible.

Doctors have advised that Roza Moni urgently requires PICU support with continuous monitoring and comprehensive medical management to stabilize her breathing and control the lung infection. With timely treatment, including oxygen support, medications, and careful observation, her condition is expected to gradually improve, allowing transfer to the general ward once she becomes stable. Proper treatment at this stage can help her recover fully and continue her normal growth and development. However, if she is left untreated or treatment is delayed, the infection could rapidly worsen, leading to severe breathing failure, complications, and even risk to her life. Early intensive care is therefore critical to ensure her survival and long-term well-being.
