Queenter A., 15

Queenter is the third-born child in her family and lives in Awasi village. She is 15 years old, a Grade 10 student at a local school, and has four siblings who are all in school through sponsorship from an education charity run by a local church. Her father relies on casual jobs to support the family, while her mother is a housewife who depends on his income. Queenter enjoys playing football and listening to music and hopes to become a doctor in the future. Queenter began feeling unwell while at school, experiencing persistent abdominal pain along with chest pain, coughing, and difficulty swallowing. During this period, a neighbour informed the family about Awasi Catholic Mission Health Centre, which offers free medical services through Helpster Charity. When her condition worsened, she was taken to the facility, where doctors assessed her and began treatment.

Queenter was admitted in the facility was and put under prompt treatment and medication. As days pass, she showed great improvement and was ready for discharge. Close monitoring and doctors prescription of medicines to be adhered would lead to fully recovery.

Queenter was diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease, a condition where sores develop in the lining of the stomach or upper part of the intestine, causing abdominal pain, chest discomfort, and difficulty eating. She required medication to reduce stomach acid, promote healing of the ulcers, and relieve pain, along with guidance on diet and follow-up care. With proper treatment and adherence to medication, Queenter is expected to recover well and return to her normal school and daily activities.
