When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Severe malaria occurs when infections are complicated by serious organ failures or abnormalities in the patient's blood or metabolism. Pneumonia develops when the defensive mechanisms within the lung become overwhelmed by a pathogen which has been either inhaled or aspirated. It is associated with a high mortality rate and significant morbidity. Severe pneumonia is frequently a multisystem disease and patients will often present with multiple organ failure.

Background
Nelly is a diligent young girl who enjoys going to school, where she likes to draw and dance. At home, she helps her mother with household chores, and her dream is to become a teacher one day. Recently, she was taken to the hospital because she had a cough, headache, chest pain, and a fever.
Medical history
Nelly was well until a few days prior to when she came to the facility with a headache, chest pain, fever and and a cough. She was diagnosed with malaria, and go the needed treatment. She responded to the treatment quite well, and on the follow-up four days after her first visit, confirmed to be doing well and had even resumed school.
Prognosis
Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences. Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications
