When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Acute plasmodiasis is a rapid-onset malaria infection caused by Plasmodium parasites, most commonly Plasmodium falciparum in children. It presents with sudden high fever, chills, body weakness, headache, and reduced appetite. If untreated, it can progress to severe malaria, anemia, or organ complications, especially in children. Treatment involves prompt antimalarial therapy and supportive care, including hydration, nutrition, and monitoring, which ensures full recovery.

Background
Hafsat Abubakar is a 9-year-old girl from a semi-urban community who loves drawing and playing with her friends, and dreams of becoming a nurse. She suddenly developed high fever, chills, weakness, and poor appetite for two days, becoming less active than usual. Tests confirmed acute malaria. She was started on antimalarial treatment with supportive care, including fluids and nutritional support, under assistance.
Medical history
After falling seriously ill with fever, diarrhea,abdominal pain and headache, HAFSAT struggled to keep up with school and daily life. Her family, worried and without enough money for treatment, turned to Helpster Charity for support. Thanks to Helpster Charity, she was evaluated and investigated in UMD hospital and diagnosed with ACUTE PLASMODIASIS. She was admitted and had antimalarial drugs,intravenous fluids with other supportive treatment in the hospital for 3 days. Slowly, she recovered, symptoms subsided, and she regained her strength. She was discharged home with her parents, and she can enjoy his childhood and return to school. Prognosis
Hafsat is experiencing fever, loss of appetite, general body weakness, and vomiting.She was seen and evaluated at UMD medical clinic and diagnosed with acute malaria.She appears moderately dehydrated and very uncomfortable. Prompt treatment of acute malaria, is crucial to prevent serious complications. Treatment of acute Plasmodiasis have good prognosis and health status will significantly improve to enable her to return back to school for her studies.
