Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About urology

Ontor Chandra Debnath has been diagnosed with a right-sided hydrocele, a condition in which fluid accumulates around the right testicle, causing visible swelling of the scrotum. This can result in pain, discomfort while walking or sitting, and difficulty participating in normal daily activities. If left untreated, the swelling may increase and become infected, potentially leading to severe pain, abscess formation, or damage to the testicle. In serious cases, untreated complications can affect his overall health and may become life-threatening, making timely medical care essential.

Background

Ontor Chandra Debnath is a charming and intelligent 10-year-old boy who loves playing football and dreams of becoming a pilot, bringing joy to his little sister Rishita and brother Ishan despite their difficult living conditions. His father, Manik Chandra Debnath, earns only 6,000 taka per month as a day laborer, which is not enough to support their five-member family and cover the cost of the surgery he now needs. For three years, Ontor has endured painful swelling that makes it hard for him to sit, walk, or play, yet he continues attending school with determination. If he does not receive proper treatment for his right-sided hydrocele, the swelling and pain may worsen and lead to serious complications, including infection and lasting damage. The family, who learned about Helpster Charity through a doctor, is now seeking support to give Ontor relief and a chance to live a healthy, active childhood.

Prognosis

The doctor has recommended a hydrocelectomy to remove the accumulated fluid and correct the swelling. According to the doctor, after the procedure Ontor is expected to be free from pain and discomfort, allowing him to sit comfortably, return to school regularly, and play football again without difficulty. The surgery will also prevent the swelling from increasing and reduce the risk of infection or further complications. However, if left untreated, the hydrocele may continue to enlarge, causing persistent pain and possible infection that could damage the testicle. Delayed treatment may affect his physical development, daily functioning, and overall quality of life.
