One-year-two-month-old Mohammad Yamin lives with his parents, Md. Golam Rabbani and Yasmin Akhter, and his little sister Aksa in a small overcrowded shelter in Geneva Bihari Camp. His father works as a daily wage laborer with an irregular income that barely provides food for the family, leaving them with no savings to afford hospital bills or medicines. Yamin is a quiet and fragile child who has always been physically weak, and his recent illness with severe pneumonia, enteric fever, and anemia has left him even more vulnerable and struggling to breathe. Without proper and continued treatment, his infection could worsen, his oxygen levels could drop further, and his life could be at serious risk. After learning about Helpster Charity through a free medical outreach camp, his desperate parents reached out with hope for support to save their little boy.

Mohammad Yamin was admitted to Al-Manar Hospital Ltd., Mohammadpur, on 16 February 2026 with high fever, persistent vomiting, severe breathing difficulty, and extreme weakness. After examination, he was diagnosed with severe pneumonia with respiratory distress along with enteric fever and anemia, and he required immediate oxygen support and intensive medical treatment under close supervision. He remained hospitalized for six days, where he received antibiotics, oxygen therapy, IV fluids, and supportive care as advised by Dr. Md. Abdul Hai. With continuous treatment and monitoring, his condition gradually stabilized, and he was discharged on 22 February 2026 in improved but fragile condition. The attending doctor advised strict follow-up and proper nutrition, and the family expressed their sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity for supporting the child’s treatment during this critical time.

Doctors have advised continued hospitalization with conservative treatment, close monitoring, and blood transfusion to stabilize Mohammad Yamin’s condition. With proper medical care, the infections can be controlled, his oxygen levels can improve, and the blood transfusion will help restore his strength by correcting the anemia. Timely treatment will give him a strong chance to recover and return to normal growth and development. However, if left untreated, the severe pneumonia could lead to respiratory failure, the enteric fever could cause serious complications, and the untreated anemia could further weaken his vital organs. Without immediate and complete care, his condition could become life-threatening.
