Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Pneumonia is an infection caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi. It leads to inflammation in the air sacs of one or both lungs. These sacs, called alveoli, fill with fluid or pus, making it difficult to breathe.

Background
Rodin lives with his mother. He loves colours and is always playing with crayons. His mother brought him to the hospital with a fever and chest congestion; he was also vomiting a lot after oral intakes.
Medical history
Rodin's mother brought him to the hospital with a fever and chest congestion; he was also vomiting a lot after oral intakes. The vomiting was making him severely dehydrated and he was put on IV fluids as the doctor proceeded with the examination and laboratory investigations. He responded well to treatment.
Prognosis
Pneumonia should be treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, pneumonia may lead to the permanent lung damage, respiratory failure, septicaemia (infection entering blood stream and causing sepsis), pleural effusion (accumulation of fluid in the space between the lung and chest wall, which can make breathing difficult), and other life-threatening complications.
