Background
Vallary would like to be an engineer when she grows up. While at home or at school, she likes fixing things and is always eager to learn how to repair something. She also likes to sing, dance and cook. When she visits a friend or a relative, she may occasionally go to the kitchen just to find out whether she can assist in preparing a meal. She presented to the hospital with a headache, abdominal pain and cough.
Medical history
Vallary arrived at the hospital with symptoms of a headache, abdominal pain, and a cough. The doctor diagnosed her with malaria and amoebiasis. She received outpatient treatment and was prescribed medication to take at home. She is now fully recovered. Due to the family's inability to pay the medical bills, Helpster intervened, ensuring she received the necessary treatment.
Prognosis
Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences.
