Two-year-old Shezad Nur Amin is a gentle and cheerful child who brings joy to his young parents despite their difficult living conditions. He lives with his father Shajahan Ali, a day laborer earning about 7,000 BDT per month, and his mother Sharmin Akter, a housewife, in a crowded rented home where meeting daily needs itself is a struggle. Recently, Shezad became seriously ill with fever, cough, breathing difficulty, and extreme weakness, and doctors at Narayanganj Poly Clinic diagnosed him with severe pneumonia and very low hemoglobin, requiring urgent treatment and a blood transfusion. His parents do not have the financial ability to cover the hospital costs, making it difficult for them to continue the necessary care. After learning about Helpster Charity through Masud Rana, the worried family has come forward seeking support, as without timely treatment Shezad’s condition could worsen and become life-threatening.

Shezad 2 years-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few months,but this time, his condition worsened as he developed severe pneumonia. Despite multiple courses of antibiotics from local pharmacies, his health continued to decline, leaving him lethargic and in a toxic state. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, he received critical care at Narayanganj Polyclinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition. Shezad was given a blood transfusion because his hemoglobin level was low. Shezad was admitted on 15/2/26, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 21/2/26. Now, after receiving the care he needed, Shezad is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to his family. Doctors have advised hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, supportive care, and blood transfusion to treat Shezad’s severe pneumonia and anemia. With proper and timely treatment, the infection in his lungs can be controlled, his breathing will improve, and the blood transfusion will help restore his hemoglobin level, allowing his body to carry oxygen properly. This treatment will help Shezad regain his strength and return to normal childhood activities as he grows. However, if left untreated, the lung infection may worsen and the low hemoglobin level may further reduce oxygen supply to vital organs. In such a condition, it could lead to severe breathing failure, organ complications, and may become life-threatening for the child.
