Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About immune system

Arafat has been diagnosed with adenotonsillitis, a condition in which the tonsils and adenoids become enlarged and repeatedly infected. This leads to ongoing throat pain, fever, difficulty swallowing, and breathing problems, especially during sleep. When the swelling becomes severe, it can block the airway, causing serious breathing difficulties and low oxygen levels, which may become life-threatening if not treated in time. Proper medical care, including possible surgery, is essential to prevent dangerous complications and protect his overall health and development.

Thank you for saving this life!

Background

Md. Arafat Sami is a calm and polite five-year-old boy who studies in nursery and dreams of becoming a pilot. He has been suffering from repeated throat pain, swelling, fever, and difficulty swallowing for the past year, along with disturbed sleep due to breathing problems. His father, Osman Goni, earns only 6,000 taka per month as a day laborer, which is not enough to manage household expenses and the cost of the surgery advised by the doctor at New Evercare Hospital. The family lives in fragile housing conditions and is struggling to meet basic needs for Arafat and his younger sister, Warisa. They learned about Helpster Charity through a leaflet and local microphone announcements and are now seeking support for his treatment.

Medical history

Arafat Sami was admitted to the hospital on 07.06.2026 with adenotonsillitis, requiring surgical treatment due to the severity of his condition. After a thorough clinical assessment and preoperative preparation, he underwent a successful adenotonsillectomy on the same day. Following the operation, he received comprehensive medical management, including pain control, antibiotics, hydration, regular monitoring, and attentive nursing care to support a smooth recovery. His condition improved steadily without any postoperative complications, and he was able to resume oral intake comfortably. With continuous observation and proper postoperative care, Arafat made a full recovery and was discharged in a stable, safe, and healthy condition on 10.06.2026.

Prognosis

The doctor has recommended an adenotonsillectomy to remove Arafat’s enlarged tonsils and adenoids and relieve his ongoing symptoms. According to the doctor, after the surgery, he is expected to breathe more comfortably, sleep peacefully, and experience fewer throat infections and fevers, allowing him to eat properly and regain his strength. This treatment will significantly improve his daily activities, school attendance, and overall growth and development. However, if left untreated, the continued airway blockage and repeated infections could lead to severe breathing problems, poor weight gain, and serious health complications. In severe cases, prolonged breathing obstruction during sleep may become life-threatening and affect his heart and overall well-being.
