Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?

When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About urology

Scrotal swelling is an enlargement of the scrotal sac, or scrotum, which houses the testicles. It can be caused by injury, an underlying medical condition, a buildup of fluid, inflammation, or an abnormal growth within the scrotum. The swelling may be painless or very painful.

Background

Abubakar is usually quiet, introverted but loves to play soccer and dreams to become an architect. He developed inguino-scrotal swelling about two years ago; initially it was reducible but currently the swelling is bigger. He experiences pains and discomfort due to mild obstruction.

Medical history

Abubakar underwent a thorough evaluation and was admitted for Hydrocelectomy on December 22, 2023. The surgery was successful, and he was discharged on December 24, 2023. He also had a follow-up appointment scheduled for December 26, 2023. Abubakar expresses his gratitude to Helpster Charity and the exceptional medical team at UMD Medical Clinic for providing him with free surgery and treatment. He extends his blessings to Helpster Charity and its sponsors. Prior to the surgery, his health had severely impacted his ability to carry out daily activities. Now, thanks to Helpster, he can resume his routines and reunite with his friends. Abubakar thanks Helpster for significantly improving his quality of life.

Prognosis

If scortal swelling is not treated, it can lead to prolonged pain, discomfort, and potential complications, such as hematomas (blood clots) or infection at the site of injury. The swelling needs to be surgically remove, to allow for a comfortable, painless life of the patient.
