Why is treatment sometimes done earlier than the payment?
When a case is urgent and vital, hospitals often proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalisation of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts. That’s why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

About infections
Samiul Basir has been diagnosed with recurrent appendicitis, a condition where the appendix becomes inflamed repeatedly over time. This causes repeated episodes of abdominal pain, especially in the lower right side, along with discomfort and possible fever. If not treated properly, the appendix can burst, leading to a serious infection inside the abdomen. Therefore, timely surgical treatment is important to prevent complications and ensure his recovery.

Background
Samiul Basir is a gentle and cheerful two-year-old boy, the youngest of two siblings, whose presence brought great joy to his family despite their difficult circumstances. His father has been ill for a long time and is unable to work, leaving the entire family dependent on his grandfather, a day laborer earning only around 4000 BDT per month, which makes it impossible to afford the surgery he urgently needs. For the past several months, Samiul has been suffering from repeated severe abdominal pain, and doctors have diagnosed him with recurrent appendicitis, requiring an operation. Without timely treatment, his condition could suddenly worsen, leading to serious infection and life-threatening complications. The family, living together in a small tin-made house, now holds onto hope after learning about Helpster Charity through volunteers Jamilur Reza and Mazhar Shihab, praying for a chance to save their beloved child.
Medical history
Samiul Basir was admitted to Modern Hospital on 23/02/2026 at around 3:00 PM with severe abdominal pain, where his family came after learning about Helpster through a doctor. On the same day, with the support of Helpster Charity and its volunteers, his surgery was promptly arranged and successfully performed by the attending surgeon. After the operation, he received proper post-operative care and medical guidance, leading to steady recovery. He was discharged on 26/02/2026 in good health and returned home safely. Samiul’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its dedicated volunteers, and the medical team at Modern Hospital for their timely support, care, and compassion in saving their child’s life.
Prognosis
According to the doctors, Samiul requires an appendicectomy (surgical removal of the appendix) under general anesthesia to permanently resolve his condition. With timely surgery, he is expected to recover well and be free from repeated abdominal pain, allowing him to grow and live a normal, healthy childhood. The procedure is generally safe, and early treatment can prevent further complications. However, if left untreated, his appendix may suddenly rupture, leading to severe infection inside the abdomen, which can become life-threatening. Delay in surgery could result in serious health risks and prolonged suffering for the child.
