She has been diagnosed with a breech presentation. A breech presentation means that the baby is positioned bottom-first or feet-first in the uterus, rather than in the typical head-down (cephalic) position.

Background
Mst. Reshma is a kind and hardworking woman who loves sewing handmade clothes and dreams of one day building a small home for her family. Her husband, Motiar Rahman, pulls a rickshaw and earns only about 6,000 taka per month, which is not enough to support their family of four, including their 15-year-old daughter Sharmin and 70-year-old mother-in-law Begum Hasina. Now 36 weeks pregnant, Reshma has been diagnosed with a breech baby and severe anemia, and doctors say she urgently needs surgery to safely deliver her child. With their fragile living conditions and very limited income, the family cannot afford the cost of treatment. A compassionate doctor informed them about Helpster Charity, giving them hope for support—because without this life-saving care, both Reshma and her unborn baby could face serious, life-threatening complications
Medical history
Mst. Reshma was admitted with a 36 weeks and 5 days pregnancy complicated by breech presentation. She was admitted on 19.02.2026, and on the same day, an LSCS was performed successfully. The surgery was completed without complications, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. After the operation, she was kept under close observation in the post-operative ward. She received appropriate medical management, including intravenous fluids, antibiotics, pain management, and regular monitoring of her vital signs. Proper nursing care was ensured, including wound care, assistance with early mobilization, breastfeeding support, and monitoring for any signs of infection or complications. With timely surgical intervention, careful monitoring, and supportive care, both mother and baby remained stable and recovered well. Her overall condition improved steadily, and she was discharged in a safe and stable condition on 22.02.2026.
Prognosis
The recommended treatment for her is LSCS under SAB, which is the safest option to deliver the baby immediately and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, the baby is expected to recover well and lead a healthy life. However, if the delivery is delayed or left untreated, the baby may suffer from fetal distress, oxygen deprivation leading to permanent brain damage or even death, and head entrapment. The mother may also face life-threatening infections or other complications.
