Four-month-old Sharim Babu is a gentle and innocent child born into a family struggling to survive on his father Hannan Ali’s small income of around 5000 BDT as an agricultural day laborer. He lives with his parents and two school-going siblings in a small tin-shed house, where the family finds it difficult to meet even their basic needs, making medical treatment unaffordable. Despite being a calm and quiet baby, Sharim is now seriously ill with pneumonia, causing fever, weakness, and difficulty in breathing. Without timely treatment, his condition could rapidly worsen, leading to severe respiratory complications and potentially life-threatening outcomes. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through Life Care Hospital staff and is now seeking urgent support to save their child’s life.

Sharim Babu was admitted to the hospital on 03 March 2026 after suffering from high fever, cough, and cold, which later worsened into weakness, lethargy, and breathing difficulties. After medical examination, doctors diagnosed him with pneumonia. He received proper medical treatment, medications, and close monitoring under the care of the hospital’s medical team. With timely treatment and continuous care, Sharim’s condition gradually improved over the following days. He responded well to the medications, and his strength and breathing started to return to normal. He was discharged from the hospital on 08 March 2026 in stable condition. Sharim’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the hospital staff for their kind support and compassionate care, which played a vital role in his recovery.

With timely hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive care, Sharim’s lung infection can be effectively controlled, leading to gradual improvement in breathing and reduction of fever. Proper treatment will help stabilize his condition, strengthen his recovery, and support his normal growth and development. Close monitoring in the hospital will allow doctors to respond quickly to any changes in his condition. However, if left untreated, pneumonia can worsen rapidly, leading to severe breathing difficulty, spread of infection, and life-threatening complications. In such a young infant, delay in treatment can be critical and may put his life at serious risk.
