Fatiha Begum has been diagnosed with typhoid fever, a serious bacterial infection that spreads through contaminated food and water. The illness commonly causes prolonged high fever, severe body aches, weakness, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite. If not treated properly, typhoid can lead to dangerous complications such as intestinal bleeding or infection spreading throughout the body. With timely medical care and appropriate antibiotics, most patients recover fully and regain their normal strength and health.

Background
Seven-year-old Fatiha Begum is a kind and cheerful girl who loves spending time with her elder sister Maryam, a Class 5 student, and helping her mother at home. She lives with her parents and grandparents in a modest household where her father Al Amin, a mason earning about 8,000 BDT per month, struggles to support the five family members and meet daily needs. Recently, Fatiha suddenly became very ill with high fever, severe body pain, and frequent bowel movements, and doctors at Saheda Gafur Ibrahim General Hospital diagnosed her with typhoid fever and advised hospital admission for proper treatment. Because of their limited income, her father cannot afford the medical costs while caring for the whole family. Without timely treatment, her infection could worsen and lead to serious complications that may threaten her life, which is why her family is seeking help through Helpster after learning about it from the hospital doctors.
Medical history
Fatiha Begum is 07 years old child. Suddenly She got fever for many days with generalized bodyache. Her mother came to our hospital in 02 March 2026. Doctor diagnosed this case as typhoid fever. Doctor suggests to get admitted to hospital. Doctor and Nurses provide the baby proper treatment and affectionate care. As a result, Fatiha Begum comes round from her illness and becomes heathy. At 08 March 2026, we discharged her. The patient's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Charity and the hospital for their timely and effective care.
Prognosis
Doctors have advised treatment with parenteral antibiotics along with supportive therapy to effectively control Fatiha Begum’s typhoid infection. With timely and complete treatment, her fever will gradually subside, her strength will return, and she will be able to resume her studies and daily activities without long-term effects. Proper medical care will also prevent the infection from spreading and protect her vital organs. However, if left untreated, typhoid can lead to severe complications such as intestinal perforation, internal bleeding, bloodstream infection, and even become life-threatening. Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure her full recovery and safeguard her future health.
