Five-month-old Akash Islam is a fragile and innocent child born into a family struggling to survive on his father Lal Mia’s small income of around 4000 BDT as a rickshaw puller, which makes it impossible to afford proper medical treatment. He lives with his parents, elder brother Ashik, and little sister Lamiya in a small government-provided house, where the family struggles to meet even basic needs. Despite being a calm and gentle baby, Akash is now seriously ill with typhoid fever and a chest infection, leaving him weak and struggling to breathe. Without timely treatment, his condition could rapidly worsen, leading to severe infection, breathing complications, and even life-threatening outcomes. The family came to know about Helpster Charity through Life Care Hospital staff and is now seeking urgent support to save their child’s life.

Akash Islam was admitted to the hospital on 5 March 2026 after suffering from fever, cough, and cold, which later worsened into weakness, lethargy, and breathing difficulties. After medical examination and necessary tests, doctors diagnosed him with typhoid fever along with a chest infection. He received proper medical treatment, medications, and close monitoring under the care of the hospital’s medical team. With timely treatment and continuous care, Akash’s condition gradually improved over the following days. He responded well to the medications, and his strength and breathing started to return to normal. He was discharged from the hospital on 10 March 2026 in stable condition. Akash’s family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the hospital staff for their kind support and compassionate care, which played a vital role in his recovery.

With timely administration of parenteral antibiotics and supportive therapy, Akash’s infections can be effectively controlled, leading to gradual reduction of fever and improvement in breathing. Proper treatment will help stabilize his condition, strengthen his recovery, and prevent further complications, giving him a strong chance to return to normal growth and development. Close monitoring will ensure that any changes in his condition are managed promptly. However, if left untreated, the infections may worsen, leading to severe breathing difficulty, spread of infection, and life-threatening complications. In such a young infant, delay in treatment can be critical and may seriously endanger his life.
