Lima Akter is a caring and resilient 23-year-old woman who spends her days supporting her family and caring for her elderly in-laws, who are fully dependent on her husband. Her husband, Dulal Hossen, earns around 6,000 BDT per month as an agricultural day laborer, making it impossible for the family to afford the medical care she now urgently needs. Despite her gentle and responsible nature, Lima is facing serious pregnancy complications, including a breech-positioned baby and anemia, which have left her weak and at high risk during delivery. Without timely treatment, she may face life-threatening complications, and her baby could suffer injury or even loss during childbirth. The family learned about Helpster Charity through CSDK staff and is now seeking support to ensure a safe delivery for both mother and child

Lima Akter was admitted to the hospital on 05/03/2026 at 37 weeks of pregnancy due to complications from a breech presentation and anemia, which made normal delivery risky. Considering these conditions, doctors proceeded with a planned cesarean section (LUCS). The surgery was successfully performed, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. Following the operation, Lima received appropriate post-operative care, including medications, monitoring, and nutritional support. Both mother and baby remained stable and showed steady improvement during their hospital stay. Within a few days, Lima was able to move comfortably and begin caring for her newborn. She was discharged from the hospital on 08/03/2026 in good health. Lima and her family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Helpster Charity, its volunteers, and the medical team for their compassionate support and timely intervention, which ensured a safe delivery and the well-being of both mother and child.

The doctors have recommended a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) along with supportive treatment to ensure the safe delivery of Lima Akter’s baby and to protect both mother and child. With timely surgical intervention and proper medical care, there is a high chance of a safe delivery, allowing Lima to recover gradually and care for her newborn and family. This planned procedure will help reduce the risks associated with breech presentation and anemia, ensuring that the baby is delivered safely and remains in stable condition. However, if appropriate treatment and delivery management are not provided, serious complications may occur, including fetal distress, prolonged or obstructed labor, or lack of oxygen during delivery. In severe cases, these complications can become life-threatening for both mother and baby. Therefore, timely medical care and proper intervention are essential to ensure the best possible outcome and give Lima’s baby a healthy start to life.
