Background
Most. Aive Akter is a gentle, religious, and hardworking young woman who loves cooking traditional foods and dreams of one day building a safe home for her family. Her husband, Md. Milon, works as a day laborer earning only about 6,000 taka per month, which is barely enough to support their family of four, including their 9-year-old son Imam and her elderly father-in-law, Anowar Hossain. Now 37 weeks pregnant, Aive has been diagnosed with a breech baby and anemia after severe pain and complications during an attempted home delivery, and doctors say she urgently needs surgery to save her and her baby. Living in fragile conditions with such limited income, the family simply cannot afford the emergency medical costs. They learned about Helpster Charity through another beneficiary, and without this life-saving support, both Aive and her unborn child could face serious and potentially fatal complications, leaving her young son and elderly father-in-law devastated
Medical history
Aive Akter was admitted to the hospital on 03.03.2026 with a 37 weeks and 4 days pregnancy and breech presentation. After proper evaluation, the doctors decided that an LSCS (Lower Segment Caesarean Section) was the safest option for delivery. Her operation was successfully performed on 04.03.2026, and a healthy baby was safely delivered. After the surgery, she remained under close observation and received proper medical treatment and nursing care. With good medical management, both the mother and the baby recovered well and remained in stable condition. She was finally discharged on 17.03.2026 in a safe and secure condition.
Prognosis
The recommended treatment for Aive is LSCS under SAB, which is the safest option to deliver the baby immediately and prevent further complications. With timely surgery, both the mother and the baby are expected to recover well and the baby can lead a healthy life. However, if the delivery is delayed or left untreated, the baby may suffer from fetal distress, oxygen deprivation that could lead to permanent brain damage or even death, and head entrapment. The mother may also face life-threatening infections or other serious complications.
